The Office of Academic Skills is responsible for the coordination of programs and activities that support students transitioning to the University from high school or the workplace. Retention based programs and services are provided for students new to the post-secondary setting. The First Step to College Success, the Mathematics and Science Academy, workforce to post-secondary programs, and advising for students admitted in the special admissions category are coordinated within this office.
